Abstract

【課題】設置位置に対する制限が少なく、画像を投影する際の設定を迅速かつ容易に行うことができるプロジェクタを提供する。 【解決手段】画像投影時の状態で鉛直方向の高さが水平方向の幅よりも大きい略直方体形状をなし、当該プロジェクタ本体を収納する外装部材と、前記外装部材の表面のうち、当該外装部材の下端よりも上端に近い側面から画像を投影する投影手段と、前記投影手段によって投影される画像の投影面を検出する投影面検出手段と、当該プロジェクタから前記投影面までの距離を少なくとも算出する測距演算手段と、前記測距演算手段で算出した当該プロジェクタから前記投影面までの距離に応じて前記投影手段で投影する投影画像の補正を行う画像補正手段と、を備える。 【選択図】 図1
<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector in which limitations on installation position are reduced and speedy and easy setting for projecting an image is ensured. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: an exterior member having the shape of an approximately rectangular parallelepiped whose vertical height is greater than its horizontal width in the state of projecting an image, and used to store the main body of the projector; a projecting means for projecting an image from the side face closer to the upper end of the exterior member than the lower end of the exterior member; a projection face detecting means for detecting the projection face of an image projected by the projecting means; a range finding arithmetic means for at least calculating a distance from the projector to the projection face; and an image correcting means by which the image projected by the projecting means is corrected in accordance with the distance from the projector to the projection screen, calculated by the range finding arithmetic means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
