Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller for a sewing machine with which the origin of a motor can efficiently be detected when supplying power. SOLUTION: The motor controller 4 for the sewing machine 100 is provided with: a pulse motor driver for driving a motor 1 for the sewing machine 100; a driving voltage detection part 42 for detecting driving voltage supplied from a power source 2 for the motor to the pulse motor drive 41; a judgment program 45b for making a CPU 43 judge whether the driving voltage detected by the detection part 42 amounts to prescribed voltage; a rotary angle detection part 40 for detecting the origin of the motor 1; and an origin detection program 45c for making the CPU 43 judge that driving voltage of the pulse motor driver 41 amounts to the prescribed voltage by carrying out the judgment program 45b after supplying power to the sewing machine 100, and thereafter detect the origin of the motor 1 by the rotary angle detection part 40.
