Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly switch a combustion mode from lean combustion to stoichiometric combustion or rich combustion, while preventing torque shock when switching lean combustion to the stoichiometric combustion or rich combustion, in an internal combustion engine with supercharger. <P>SOLUTION: In the internal combustion engine with supercharger, to prevent increase in engine torque (torque shock) when the lean combustion is switched to stoichiometric combustion or rich combustion, ignition timing is retarded and a waste gate valve (WGV) and/or an air bypass valve (ABV) is/are opened when the lean combustion is switched to the stoichiometric combustion or rich combustion. At this time, in view of time delay until the influence of opening operation of the WGV or ABV causes decrease in charging pressure (reduction in revolving speed of an exhaust turbine), the ignition timing is retarded by the time delay in which the opening operation affects the charging pressure after the WGV or the ABV is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
【課題】過給機付き内燃機関において、燃焼モードをリーン燃焼からストイキ又はリッチ燃焼に切り換える際のトルクショックを防止しながら、ストイキ又はリッチ燃焼への切り換えを速やかに行うことができるようにする。 【解決手段】過給機付き内燃機関において、リーン燃焼からストイキ又はリッチ燃焼に切り換える際のエンジントルク上昇(トルクショック)を防止するために、リーン燃焼からストイキ又はリッチ燃焼に切り換える際に、点火時期を遅角すると共にウェイストゲートバルブ(WGV)及び/又はエアバイパスバルブ(ABV)を開放する。この際、WGVやABVの開放動作の影響が過給圧の低下(排気タービンの回転速度低下)として現れるまでの時間遅れを考慮して、先にWGV及び/又はABVを開放してからその開放動作の影響が現れる時間遅れ分だけ遅れて点火時期を遅角する。 【選択図】図5
